Metro Helping Hands
Metro Church of Christ
Through our food pantry program (Metro Helping
Hands), we minister to over 200 people each
month, first with food assistance, and then with
the gospel. Families in need of assistance are
connected with Metro through the local United
Way 211 emergency assistance program.
In addition to member donations to the food
pantry, we are blessed to receive weekly donations
of frozen fish and main entrees from Red Lobster
on Hall Road in Sterling Heights, as well as
requests for each
month can be found

from the Valuland/SpartanNash located in Warren at 13 and Schoenherr, Starbucks in
Sterling Heights on VanDyke, Chipotle Mexican Grill at Lakeside Circle, and the Target in
Roseville on Gratiot. Metro's food program has been so blessed, we have 10 volunteers picking
up food from 6 different businesses for a total of 15 pick-ups a week.
We also feel blessed to have received a grant in 2014 from Darden Restaurant's Community
Grants program (click on link to learn more) and thank our local Darden restaurants (Red
Lobster and Olive Garden) for recognizing us a leader in our community and supporting our
work to feed needy individuals in Macomb County.
